Description

The Geranium Bronze is a small lycaenid butterfly species from south Africa that was introduced accidentally in Europe in 1990, and nowadays is spread out in almost whole western Europe. It is common in city gardens, since the larvae feed on Geranium spp. plants, very common in gardens and balconies. This photo was taken in a small garden in Getaria (Basque Country)
